Markus Notch Persson pertama kali membuatMinecraftdi waktu luangnya, & dia tidak memiliki cukup &a untuk mendukung terus kelansungan proyek tersebut. Bukanya mencari bantuan kepada para publisher besar seperti banyak developer lainnya, dia memilih cara pen&aan baru, dengan menawarkan game-setengah-jadi tersebut pada publik & menarik biaya akses dini memainkan versialpha-nya. Meskipun game tersebut masih membutuhkan waktu dua tahun sebelum akhirnya dirilis pada tahun 2011, banyak gamer yg penasaran dengan game sandbox yg memungkinkan kita membangun konstruksi tersebut. Dan yg mengejutkan, hingga saat iniMinecraftsudah terjual hingga 54 juta kopi dari semua platform.
Game indie dengan konsep sandbox,Minecraftmerupakan satu keajaiban di dunia game. Diciptakan programer Swedia Markus Persson, yg kemudian dikembangkan & diterbitkan oleh Mojang pertama kalinya untuk PC pada tahun 2009 lalu. Namun karena kebebasan kreatifitas pemainnya dalam menciptakan dunianya sendiri dalam game tersebut, sekaligus bagaimana cara developer selalu melibatkan gamer dalam proses pengembangannya, mampu membuatnya tenar seperti sekarang ini.
Sukses di PC, mengantarkan game ini juga beralih ke konsol, game mobile, & handheld. Game mobilenya sendiri sudah eksis di iOS & Android. Se&gkan port konsolnya, yg ditangani 4J Studios hadir mulaiMei 2012 untuk X360, & menyusul untuk PS3 pada Desember 2013. Sebelumnya, pertengahan Agustus 2013 sudah terdengar kabar jika 4J Studios juga menyiapkan port untuk PS4, X1 & juga PS Vita. Bahkan disebut-sebut untuk PS4 akan menjadi salah satu game indie yg mendukung peluncuran konsol tersebut November 2013 lalu. Pada kenyataannya versi PS4 tertunda.
Untuk versi handheld-nya sendiri, juga banyak yg menunggu, karena menjadi Minecraft handheld pertama. Versi PS Vita tersebeut sempat beberapa kali disinggung melalui akun Twitter4J Studios, & dikembangkan berdasakan versiPS3, bukan versi pocket yg digunakan untuk iOS & Android. Bahkan nantinya untuk versiPS3 akan mendapatkan beberapa fitur konektifitas dengan versi Vita, mendukung opsi Cross-Buy, & juga Cross-Save dengan dunia yg disimpan di salah satu versi, akan bisa diakses di versi lainnya.
Berlanjut selama Gamescom 2014, Sony merilis trailer untuk Minecraft PS Vita, memperlihatkan seperti apa jadinya jika game sandbox populer tersebut dimampatkan di layar handheld. Memang belum ada tanggal pasti kapan versi PS Vita, & juga PS4 & X1 dirilis, namun 4J Studios hanya menyebutkan jika ketiganya bakal hadir sebelum Agustus 2014 berakhir.
Selain Cross-Buy dengan versi PS3, kalian juga bisa meng-upgrade versi PS3 & PS Vita ke PS4 dengan menambah sejumlah uang (sekitar Rp. 60 ribuan). Nilai yg sama juga akan diberikan bagi kalian yg ingin meng-upgrade dari versi X360 ke X1. -Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will be released on Xbox Live Marketplace in August. It brings significantly bigger worlds and a greater draw distance than Xbox 360 Edition.
-It will include all the features from the most recent Xbox 360 title update.
-Minecraft: Xbox One Edition will cost $19.99.
-If youve bought Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition from Xbox Live Marketplace, or played online with the disc version, you will be able to upgrade to Xbox One Edition for $4.99.
You will be able to upgrade for a minimum of a year after the release date.
-Players with Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition saves will be able to import their worlds to Xbox One. Unfortunately, you wont be able to transfer saves from Xbox One to Xbox 360. We can make worlds bigger without too much stress, but shrinking them causes all kinds of problems.
-Cross platform play will not be possible between Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
-Many, but not all, of the DLC skins and texture packs youve purchased for Xbox 360 Edition will be available for use in Xbox One Edition. Wed like to say all your DLC would transfer, but some of the items are trapped in licensing deals that are too boring to get into here. Well have more on this soon.
