MWC 2014: Qualcomm Umumkan Snapdragon 801, Versi Facelift Dari Prosesor Terkuat

Sebulan sebelumnya, mereka juga mengumumkan Snapdragon 805, tipe terkuat dan disebut-sebut menjadi varian tertinggi di tengah jajaran prosesor Snapdragon. Banyak yang menduga Snapdragon 805 adalah chipset yang akan diterapkan di banyak produk flagship, seperti Galaxy S5 dan Oppo Find 7. Namun ternyata bukan, justru mereka menawarkan chipset lainnya yang sedikit lebih kuat dari Snapdragon 800, chipset terkuat tahun 2013 lalu, yaitu Snapdragon 801.</p><p>Satu alasan munculnya Snapdragon 801 adalah karena Snapdragon 805 belum siap, dan mereka tidak ingin pasar menganggap Snapdragon 800 yang dikonfirmasikan sejak awal 2013 lalu, sudah ketinggalan jaman.Snapdragon 801 yang dikonfirmasikan selama Mobile World Congress 2014 ini tidak lain Snapdragon 800yang ditawarkan dengan <em>clock speed</em>yang lebih tinggi, dan juga menamba fitur dukungan eMMC 5.0 yang memungkinkan kecepatan transfer hingga 400MB/s.</p><p>Chipset yang sekadar facelift ini keseluruhan sama, dengan empat prosesorKrait 400 serta Adreno 330, namun <em>clock speed</em>-nyameningkat menjadi 2.45GHz dengan GPU 578MHz (dari 2.26GHz and 450MHz).
